Where I've been as of late...

Where I've been is essentially a deep dark pit of despair that even the most tantalizing piece of cycling history, rarity or sparkingly gooey NOS-ness could pull me out of. For a while I was feeling as thought the weight of the world (my slice of it anyways) was a misshapen boulder hurtling down a hill with no way for me to predict avoiding it...

For those of you who don't follow my tumblr blog, I've got some major life changes going on right now. I feel as though for once in my life I need explore them and not worry so much about taking the safe route...

My future plans are:

Pay off whatever bills STAT.

Take Kiochi Yamaguchi's frame building course in Colorado.

Quit my fucking shite job by next spring.

Go to Croatia for two or three months to live and maybe do a little freelance work. Then help my parents harvest, clean, survey and mark off the 40 or so acres of farmland and ocean front property we own on our island...

Come back to NYC/Jerz and work a bunch of different freelance jobs, blog full time and concentrate on photography, bike building and possibly even high end furniture design/fabrication...

My main goal is to be artistically productive and not be hindered by working a set schedule at some windowless 40% grey office doing something I've come to despise...

Though something tells me that most of you don't really give two shits about all that and would just prefer I cut through all the mental masterbative naked in the woods drum beating rah-rah bull shit and just get on to all the glorious fucking bike porn already.. Lousy cunts...

Anyways, I've allotted this Sunday night/Monday morning to making up for lost time. It is now 6:44pm. Between all the photos I still need to take, process and upload, not to mention the combination of Vicodin and Weed smoke I intent to ingest.. it's going to be a while...

Okay, it is now 11:16 am Monday morning and I'm at work. I essentially got fuck all done last night. Fucking weed. NO MORE!.. Whatever though, I might as well get this sort of shit done while I'm being paid by the hour. Yep, nothing like wasting valuable company time, hehe...

Here goes:

A couple of weeks ago my friend Anna invited me to scope out a play. It was cool. It was the last performance of Swimming cities of Switchback Sea. Now while I REALLY would've loved to have seen the performance done when they were up in Nyack, I'm glad I didn't because I wouldn't have laid my eyes on these two fucking monstrosities:

I mean.. I don't even know where to begin, where to end, or anything in between. So I'm just not going to bother. All I know is if I owned one, I would ride it around butt naked while angrily waving a serpent entwined scepter B-L-A-S-T-I-N-G Digable Planets 'Nickel Bag of Funk'

Next up is this Bitchin' bike computer I got on ebay:

I'm sorry but this is def one of those things that falls into the category of MUST HAVE...

I mean, check out the side by side!!

Another couple of ebay items would be these newly re-chromed, straight from Australia Major Taylor Adustable stem and Cinelli track bars. Neither of them are perfect but the two including shipping costs were $140.59

sssssSUCKERS!

Then, the weekend before last I was running some errands when a FUCKing B-17 bomber flew over me. Being the kinda sorta but not really WWII buff, I decided to go scope it out since I'd heard there was going to be an air show in my area.

Wicked seeing one in person...

What bearing does this have with cycling? None. But I did get this KICK ASS dog tag made for me:

Best $5 bucks I've spent in a long time.. douche...

Then, since EVERY fucking pair of jeans I own have their crotches blown out, I decided to buy a few new pairs from Skate Park of Tampa. I couldn't believe all the promo shit that came in the box:

When I used order shit back in the day you'd be lucky if there were a few stickers in there. Much less a mag, pins AND a copy of the new 411 video. For some reason I've actually gone to the trouble of putting together a little highlight clip for yer asses:

Here's a couple 'seen on the street' bikes I thought were pretty awesome:

And lastly, This past Saturday I volunteered over at Time's Up! table at the Park Ave Armory 'Democracy in America' Show. It was pretty cool. Met some awesome people. Hung out, made some zines. Ate some cupcakes...

Anyways, it is 3:12pm and I'm finally finishing this up. I will DEF do my best to keep things moving at a steady pace from now on.. fuckin' bitches...

UPDATE: Google map sequence for those who were asking:

Based on the number of comments on this, I feel like the lone fan of this site. Thanks for the post, I was really getting tired of checking back for new material and seeing that fucking Gan well Pro over and over again. The bike computer made me laugh. Good job on that. Must have been some really good fuckin weed brother. Keep up the good work.

wow, dude what a post. An island in Croatia? it looks unimaginably sick, definitely want to hear more about that, maybe now's a good time to cut your losses and say Peace out to god old USA for a while. Until perhaps the economy recovers. And dude those bikes, words cannot describe but I still feel strangely compelled to ride the gold and pink rolling acid trip.

Hello from Zadar, Croatia.
Just wanted to say that your blog has fans even in Croatia. Coincidentally, my parents too have land in Lukoran (olives and grapes).

Holy fuckin' crap- you're from Zadar AND have land in Lukoran??!!!! What are the chances?! Tell me there are kids putzing around on fixers with aerospoks over there now, hehehe. I haven't been there in forever so I'm sure things are super different. You'll have to let me know if there's any riders/scene there yet or not. You know when I come next summer I'll have a fixer in hand to cruise around with ya'll if there is...

i took the class with Koichi. Him and Barbara (Mrs. Y) are great people. The class is also great. The town is absolutely horrible and the opposite of everything you think of when you think Colorado. I want to take the class again - actually, i mentioned your asym when I was up there. I think it'd be fun to retake it and hear your take. An island? wtf, thats crazy.
